HUMAN VALUES FOUNDATION ...
2000-2014
The Human Values Foundation started its activities in 2000 and was initially involved in the realization of aid projects through important charitable actions carried out in foster homes.
After a period of 5 years, the Human Valence Foundation turned its attention to young people who need support in giving their skills and talents to the world.
With the accession of Romania in January 2007, the European Union became culturally richer. In the same way, Romania became richer by joining the values of this European edifice: "We believe it is important for Europe to perceive the diversity of cultures and traditions it hosts and we are convinced that this can be achieved through interaction between the peoples of Europe, through cultural exchanges of traditions and by promoting them as a basis for building unity in diversity".
To this end, in 2007, the Foundation launched two major projects, the NATIONAL FOLKLOR ORCHESTRA and YOUNG TALENTS.
"Preserving and promoting the diversity of cultural traditions in Europe is essential for the development of a European spirit and a European consciousness that will ultimately result in European citizens who are aware of their cultural heritage. In this way, they will be able to benefit fully from the values that a united Europe guarantees".
In order to increase accessibility to Romanian culture and art, in May 2009, the Valențe Umane Foundation acquired the SAINTE JULIENNE CATHEDRAL in Brussels, an ancient fortress of Christian culture and spirituality transformed after restoration into the ROMANIAN SPIRITUAL CULTURAL CENTRE.
Through this project, Valențe Umane Foundation opened a Romanian gateway in Brussels to facilitate an intercultural dialogue between Romania and the Member States of the European Union.
"Today we are part of Europe, land in its soil, spirit in its spirit, united in ideals with the great European family. The Romanian Spiritual Cultural Centre in Brussels is an ambassador of the arts and the spirit of our people, as well as the host of international spiritual and cultural events".After a remarkable effort, the Valențe Umane Foundation has put at the service of Romanian spirituality and culture a generous space composed of a church, library, concert hall, conference centre and exhibition spaces."We are ready to support this courageous project, we are determined to highlight Romanian art and the traditions of our people in the middle of Europe, in Brussels".The Romanian Spiritual Cultural Centre was opened to the public on the occasion of Romania's National Day, 1 December 2009, with an extraordinary concert by the National Folklore Orchestra and the consecration of the church's altar under the direct supervision of the Romanian Patriarchate and with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
This was followed by a series of cultural events that have become a tradition in Brussels, giving the opportunity to an impressive number of Romanian artists to present themselves in Brussels during the numerous concerts, exhibitions and fairs we have organized.
A complex European agenda and the need for Romania to be involved in determining EU policies were the catalyst for a new project: the EUROPEAN DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM, which was active until 2014!
Thanks with gratitude to all those who supported the organization HUMAN VALUES.
